DESCRIPTION:Dr. King brought the civil rights and labor movements together to improve the lives of working people by building the power to enact real change to dismantle racist systems. \nThere is real inequity in how Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) pays its workforce. \nAs a part of its efforts to win a living wage for all hourly workers in MPS\, the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers\, MFT Local 59 is holding a march and rally of educators and community members to call on MPS leaders to settle this contract to make $35\,000 the starting pay for ESP. \nAFSCME Local 34 and AFSCME Local 2822 will be there in solidarity with educators and also demanding Hennepin County treat its workers with dignity and respect as well.  \n
