DESCRIPTION: \nJoin AFSCME Local 34 Member Action Team \nTuesday\, May 13th from 12pm – 12:45pm at the Paul D. Wellstone Federal Building for a lunchtime rally.  \nDrastic cuts to the federal budget are underway and we are standing up to say: \nHands Off Medicaid! \nFrom WCCO News: \n“U.S. Congress has proposed slashing Medicaid and health care funding\, a move that could result in $880 billion in cuts. If that happens\, estimates indicate that Minnesotans could lose up to $1.6 billion annually in federal funds.” \nAFSCME Local 34 workers provide social services to the residents of Hennepin County\, many of whom rely on Medicaid (aka Medical Assistance). We stand firmly against any cuts to healthcare benefits for our residents or anyone else for that matter. Come out and make your voice heard! \n  \n
