Lawmakers have approved $205 million in one-time funding to save the Hennepin County Medical Center. The ballpark sales tax, meanwhile, remains unchanged.

Sahan Journal reports that Aimee Bock, the former executive director of Feeding our Future, was sentenced to serve 500 months in federal prison. She will be in her late 80s when she is released.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz were in Minneapolis Thursday to announce charges against those who defrauded Medicaid, writes Minnesota Reformer’s Max Nesterak, who also asked Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald if those charged will also be treated similarly to others who have defrauded Medicaid but have been pardoned by President Donald Trump.

At this week’s meeting, Hennepin County Commissioners heard about legislative updates to HCMC, learned more about the Hennepin EMS Opioid Response Program, and approved budget appropriations, a maintenance agreement, and a new service award.
