AFSCME Day on the Hill

AFSCME Day on the Hill is the day AFSCME members from across the State come to the Capitol to lobby the legislature for living wages, the freedom to retire in dignity and continued funding for the social services programs upon which our clients depend.

This year’s theme for Day on the Hill is “Together We Rise.”

AFSCME calls on the 2018 Minnesota Legislature to:

• Support our freedom to join together in strong unions
• Extend opportunity to all, not just the wealthy
• Reinvest in the work we do
• Guarantee retirement security
• Staff up for safe workplaces
• Move forward on transportation
• Protect children and elders
• Ban private prisons
