Our current contract expires on December 31, 2027. As we get closer to contract negotiations, we will post resources here for members who want to help us prepare for a potential strike. Strikes are only a tool that all unions prepare for and use to get the contracts they need and deserve.
At this time, we have not called a strike and our contract does not allow anyone to take any action that hinders our full, faithful, and proper performance of our work duties, which includes striking. If you have issues about your working conditions, contact a steward.
Be Prepared For A Potential Strike
How Do We Authorize A Strike?
Figure Out How Much You Need To Save
We highly encourage members to be financially prepared for a potential strike by setting money aside. Use the Minnesota Nurses Association’s Rainy Day Calculator to figure out how much per paycheck you need to save to weather a strike.
If you end up saving money, and it turns out that we do not need to go on strike, you will be better financially prepared to face any other situations life may send your way, so start saving today!
