Your Shirts and Merch Committee is hosting a T-shirt design contest!
Union members are invited to submit a T-shirt design for Local 34 to be voted on by members at the May MAT Quarterly. We’re paying GREEN for some fresh green threads – the top 3 submissions will be awarded gift cards, with the top design to be printed on T-shirts for our members!
Competition Details
Designs should incorporate Local 34 and AFSCME Solidarity, and require no more than 3 colors (for printing cost purposes). Designs should not include AI or copyright images, and must be appropriate to wear in the workplace (no illicit references, explicit language, etc).
Designs will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Color
- Local 34 Solidarity
- General Union Solidarity
- Overall Appearance
Where do I start?
We’ve put together a mood board to get the creative juices flowing, as well as links to design websites if you’d like to play around with creating your very own Solidari-Tee!! Hand-drawn designs are also encouraged!

Designs must be submitted by Friday, May 1st. Voting will take place in-person at the Member Action Team (MAT) Meeting on Tuesday, May 12th.
